White House Condemns 'Democratic Fabrication' as More Jeffrey Epstein Images Released
House Democrats have made public a additional set of what they termed "alarming" images from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 images—a portion of which have been previously circulated—plus another 70 released later on Friday represent a minuscule portion of the approximately 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is probing the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The disgraced financier was a victim of apparent suicide in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking crimes.
Prominent Personalities in the Photos
Included in the high-profile individuals visible in the opening set are celebrities including movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump appears in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
Administration Response
The White House addressed the release in a statement, alleging Democrats of purposefully "choosing" the images for political purposes and to "try and create a false narrative."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a White House spokesperson said, insisting that "the Trump administration has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by frequently urging openness, disclosing reams of papers, and demanding additional probes into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Congressional Democrat Statement
The images were disclosed without context, but as stated by a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the oversight committee, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's links with the rich and powerful.
"The moment has come to halt this White House concealment and secure justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he declared in a statement.
The publication of these documents coincides with the House panel continuing its investigation into the affair.
