Ways the Denver Broncos together with their malleable QB could stop the Chiefs' rule.

NFL 2025 season: Week six
Live coverage includes live text of Sunday's games via various channels, starting with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, audio coverage is available through designated networks covering a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).
It's week six of the NFL season , following last week's discussion regarding two top teams as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both lost their unbeaten records.
Notable during those contests was the amount of penalties both conceded. Philadelphia committed them in key moments meaning they essentially defeated themselves having led 17-3 entering the fourth period against the Denver Broncos, set to play overseas this Sunday.
However it proved good to observe that Denver's QB Bo Nix managed to have that deficit before direct three scoring drives in three attempts during the final period, securing the game by four points.
Denver have the top defender with cornerback their star corner. They rank number one in red zone defence, while the Eagles lead the league in scoring near the end zone, yet Denver won that battle.
They executed the Eagles' number in terms of simulated pressure. They did not always sending extra pass rushers instead they could plug two LBs in the interior then withdrawing them and dispatch a slot defender off the edge.
Early on in the campaign, it was noted during a show how Denver might emerge as the current year's dark horses. They ended last season well then did a good job in continuing that momentum.
Are the Denver Broncos this season's dark horses?
New TE Evan Engram has excelled big while new RB JK Dobbins is a guy they believe in. He's currently fifth in the NFL in ground gains (402) as well as tied for fourth in rushing scores (4).
I love how the coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" prominently of his playcall sheet.
That shows that the Broncos are a squad that wants to run first, since one can do a lot based on that approach. It slows down the pass rush and maintains in positive situations.
This has helped QB Bo Nix, who entered the NFL as a first-round selection last year, throwing 29 touchdown passes – second only to a star QB in rookie records (31 in 2020).
Josh Allen and Herbert have powerful arms to pass anywhere, but they don't move the mobility as Nix. He boasts incredible arm talent, a unique trait, and he's so athletic.
His assets include his mobility, the capacity to throw while moving, and finding varied release points to make the pass as he moves out of the pocket, on rollouts. He can throw that layered pass over the middle or past defenders.
For a young quarterback, at 25, he displays great poise under pressure and isn't really fazed by extra rushers. He aims to evade a sack as much as possible and can throw under pressure. He possesses sharp intelligence and remains quick to decide.
If you constantly rush it eats up the clock and makes the opponent to be in play for longer, and when you have a mobile QB the defence has to defend the field vertically and horizontally. This proves exhausting.
The quarterback has bitten back with the coach during games sometimes and it seems the coach appreciates that fire, seeing him as a fierce rival. I think it's exciting for the coach to have a young quarterback who's kind of like play-dough. He can really develop him how he wants to shape him. I think it's a unique opportunity for him.
Payton has won a championship and now passed a legend in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed it all. In my opinion the success Denver are having on offence is mostly due to his leadership, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the pairing with the QB helps make him into who he is.
You wouldn't want a more qualified person in your ear, to help you through difficult moments and boost confidence.
I have faith in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet are they good enough to go against a top squad at full strength? Since that was not a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles last Sunday.
Right now, it's unlikely Denver are elite. They're working better than most, which is a solid position to hold the AFC West. The key is to continue this path.
They excel at embracing their forte, which is the ground game, and that's exactly what they should do versus the Jets in London. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.
The Jets have allowed 140 yards on the ground per game (among the worst), five ground scores so far (in the bottom ten), and they're the sole squad without a win a game.
Since the league began tracking takeaways in 1933, the Jets are also the first team to go without a single takeaway through five games, this is kind of shocking considering that their new coach was previously a defensive coach with another team.
Patrick Mahomes says Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' after a recent loss by the Jaguars.
Following this Sunday's game, the Broncos face a smooth-ish schedule up to their break (in week 12) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans plus the Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Looking at the AFC West, the Chiefs are 2-3 while Denver are tied with the Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could challenge for the top of the division.
This hinges on what version Kansas City shows up they meet because Denver {beat|def
