Rising Online Risks

The latest project comes amid increasing worry about the UK's exposure to internet outages and cyber-attacks.

Recent incidents have highlighted these risks, including a major outage affecting global cloud computing and recent cyber-attacks that affected operations at key facilities and supply chains across several organizations.

Management and Supervision

A former commander of the the nation's space operations center will deliver recommendations next month on how the government-funded institute can optimally help the scale of government AI ambitions in defense, homeland protection and intelligence.

Operational Restructuring

The organization's leader, a ex-Amazon UK executive, confirmed that nearly eighty separate studies at the organization with 440 employees have been closed, transferred out or completed because they fail to match with the revised strategy.

Organizational Difficulties

The center has faced internal strife since last year as workers demonstrated against reforms, culminating in a group of employees filing a whistleblower complaint to the proper supervisory commission.
