The Grisly Animated Movie Conclusion That Lingers Viewers
Among all the mature animated films I have ever viewed, nothing has remained with me as much as the terror-laced conclusion of the viscerally violent as well as deeply subversive film from 2022 The Unicorn Wars.
Back in the year 2015, this Spanish filmmaker developed a dark, bleak , frequently brutal universe that included some tiny , forlorn twinges of hope.

For one notably brutal, skeptical animal, the character Bluey, the conflict with unicorns becomes a road to power — and particularly to supremacy above his softer, more compassionate sibling the bear Tubby.
Bluey is a bully , an apparent sociopath , and when terror takes over his squad and claims his fellow soldiers one by one, he grabs increasingly control for himself, via progressively gory, harmful methods.
At the same time, the horned creatures are experiencing their own horror, in the form of a spreading, harmful creature in their forest.
“At the beginning, it appears as a lighthearted film,” the filmmaker stated. “But then it becomes a more dramatic and melancholic movie. And by the end, it’s a horror film.”
The Unicorn Wars commences feeling a bit like among the whimsical features by a legendary animator, that uncover a naughty glee in allowing cartoon characters swear, engage in violence, or engage sexually.
Afterward it turns into more akin to a darker film from that creator, featuring progressively visual gore and a palpable connection to the actual horror of battle.
By the end, it is a full-on Grand Guignol massacre.
The horror that turns this a perfect Halloween viewing starts well before than indicated.
