Renowned Performer The actor Pat Finn, Famed For Parts in The Middle and Friends, Has Died at 60 Years Old.
US performer Pat Finn, who was seen in popular programs like "Friends", "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has passed away aged 60.
The comedy and improvisation performer died at home in Los Angeles recently following treatment for cancer beginning in 2022, as reported by media reports.
"He saw everyone as a friend - only friends he had yet to meet," his family stated in a announcement.
They added that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with joy and exuberance".
An Extensive TV Career
His initial on-screen part was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the titular character's brother.
He also had a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" from 1995 to 1997.
He played the part of Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, depicting a host who would assign unpleasant chores to his guests.
Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he had guest spots on numerous hit series, including:
- "King of Queens"
- "Friends"
- That '70s Show
- House
Finn was perhaps best known for portraying Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons of the show over nearly a decade.
His cinematic roles include It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Off-Screen Life
Beyond his television work, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.
He was a member of a comedy group of six called Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn guided, supported, and advised numerous pupils throughout the years and it's nearly impossible to find anyone who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Offering condolences, colleague and actor actor Richard Kind said there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Always positive, helping you be funnier and better. An excellent dad and person," he shared online.
Finn is survived by his wife Donna, his children, and his family.
