Nigel Farage Accuses Educators of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Race Issues

Nigel Farage has asserted that educators would initiate walkouts within weeks a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “poisoning our kids” by telling children that black pupils are victims and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

During an event for a private US Christian college, the politician expressed his viewpoint on British schools, claiming that the “Marxist left” had “taken over schooling”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators soon after winning the next general election,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are poisoning our kids. They are telling them to feel guilt about their nation. They are telling an eight-year-old black child that he is a victim and a white child of the same age that he is a perpetrator. They are dividing us, not uniting us. They promote this negative culture.”

In response to Farage’s claims, Daniel Kebede dismissed the idea that the schools were under Marxist influence as “absurd”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and questioned whether the party would target these immediately upon entering government.

“Farage has built his public life on coded rhetoric and currently, like Trump, he is lining up teachers and their unions for a fight,” Kebede stated.

“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … If he were to lead the government he would undermine state services, including education … and he would be a disaster for students and learning.”

The party, which tops surveys by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and does not appear to have designated an education lead.

Nonetheless, his comments indicated the group would reform the system and the curriculum. He said: “We face an enormous task with education – absolutely herculean. Moreover, it won’t happen quickly; it will take us years, years to turn this around.”

He stated that younger generations are receptive to critical thinking, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Paying tribute to Charlie Kirk, Farage said: “My goal for schooling is to teach critical thinking – to educate individuals that there are two points of view and they should decide for themselves as opposed to what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in the UK and US.”

The party has conflicted with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “extremist and prejudiced” and described the leader as “a cheap imitation”.

The politician has charged the union head with being “an avowed radical” … an individual intent that young minds be corrupted at school, their minds should be poisoned regarding national issues” and has argued that the union is trying to indoctrinate teenagers against Reform.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The leading teachers’ organization has hundreds of thousands of members.

National strikes over teacher pay and conditions in 2023 led to significant interruptions in schools and extensive missed instruction for students.

During the American gathering, the Reform leader also vowed to promote the digital courses of the institution in the UK. He said such groups were “key to resistance”, noting: “I am serious. I will help garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of youth to these educational programs. I make that commitment tonight and I will follow through.”

The institution, a religious educational establishment, provides complimentary classes. Its website states: “Comprehensive learning is vital for well-being and to perpetuate the blessings of civil and religious liberty. It offers these beautiful courses for free to all who wish to learn.”
