Loyal followers of the actress are urging that a man who leaped a barricade and seized the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared video shows the Australian man bypassing media personnel and charging at Grande while the cast walked down a yellow carpet surrounded by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records revealed that he was due to attend court on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed features recordings of him disrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Fans Voice Worry Over Ariana's Safety

Many fans criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote another response on Instagram.

Several attendees also faulted security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while some requested online networks to block Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In footage shared widely, Grande looked startled when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The motion picture, to be premiered on 21 November, is the second of a two-part adaptation of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which revolves around the surprising relationship between two contrasting witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of 2024 in the UK, and earned ten Academy Award nods, winning several for best costume and production design.
